Slaying the Clutter Beast

In my "woe is me, what am I going to do now" unemployment funk the clutter piled up. Now that I have a plan and have found new things to do with my time I'm in better spirits, but I'm looking around my apartment and wondering how I let it get this bad. I don't mind offending others. They don't live here so I don't feel the need to meet their standards. If it's not a health hazard and not a fire hazard, leave me alone. The clutter is now offending me, though, so something has to be done.

I'm slaying the beast one counter / drawer / corner at a time.

I applaud your efforts, but how long will it stay that way? LOL
You haven't read my blog long enough to know that I am (like my mother was) a major pack rat. There is little clutter visible in my home, however. It's hidden. That makes it harder to get motivated to do something about it!

The closets and drawers are full and it has spilled out into the rest of the house. The items I use every day will no doubt end up on the counter top again, but it will not look like the before picture. I took 3 bags of items I don't need or no longer use to the dumpster.

My mother was a packrat, too.

Three bags of clutter gone is a major step! Congrats! Cluttering runs in my family also, and it is a constant job keeping it all at bay.

Barb: It's like the Hydra...cut off one head and two more grow in it's place...
