Got It

I went back to find one of the caches I missed yesterday.  The clue was "walk toward the light."  So I looked all around the lightpost.  I looked all around the base, in cracks in the curb, in the bushes behind the light...where the heck was it?

Oh, there it is!

I signed the log and put one of my new cache calling cards in it (click to enlarge for a closer look) .  From reading geocaching blogs, I've discovered a lot of people have these and some collect them.  If I see that Illinois card in another cache, I'm taking it.

Wow, we have this in Ireland also. Lots of them, really really lots.
Congrats on the find, who the heck would have thought to lift that shield covering the bolts from the rain.

This is like mushroom hunting, with no mushrooms being found!

A cache calling card is a great idea!!!

Wow, this geocaching thing sounds great! It's sort of like orienteering, only with GPS instead of maps and compasses. :)

@Brian Miller and sage: Thanks. I was happy to finally find it.

@Tempo: Are you sure? It's a worldwide game. Go to www.geocaching.com and put in your address to find the caches nearest you. You might be surprised.

@Vince: Everyone except me. It's listed as easy and the ones who have been goecaching for a while had no problem finding it.

@buffalodick: You're not supposed to eat the mushrooms you find in your backyard!

@blueviolet: I wish I could take full credit for thinking it up. I saw one in a cache and thought it was a great idea.

@buckeroomama: I saw that Jones State Forest had an orienteering course, but I've never tried it. Maybe if BCO does an orienteering event again, I'll go see what it's all about.
