Ain't About How Fast I Get There

I know I'm too old for Hannah Montana, but I really like "The Climb".  The lyrics express exactly how I feel sometimes..."lost with no direction"...The message is don't stop, don't give up, get back up and keep trying.  I have to remember to keep doing exactly that even though it can be difficult.

Next semester is going to be better than this one was.  I'm going to take my roadtrip, I'm going to write my novel even if no one reads it, and I'm going to be a travel writer even if I never get paid.  I gave out my first blog card this week, I posted my first Texas Forest Trail travel post, and I'm writing something every day.  It may be slow progress, but I'm headed in the right direction.

Write, someone will read. Do it with the publisher and it will pay. Do it yourself it might pay, but it won't cost you a thing but work. A writer seems to always have, 'one more' inside. My proof reader (who works for free) isn't anxiously waiting. as a matter of fact she has lined up a ghost proof reader. haha!

as long as you are headed in the right direction, it doesn't matter really how long the journey takes; I'm betting you will accomplish what you set yourself out to do

The first step to success is to try. I sound like a goddam fortune cookie..but it's true!

Miley is one of those young artists that is acceptable to the masses, especially in the US, she's a bit too country for the UK.

I think the lyrics of this song work well for most people. :)

Never give up.

Go for it... As for Hannah, I may be one of the few of your readers who has attended one of her concerts... me with 1/2 million little girls... I was the Dad with the ear plugs that glowed in the dark. And I will always Hannah blame for my daughter giving up the violin for the guitar.

I think you will write that novel. I enjoyed reading this happy and positive post. I don't know the song you're writing about I can sympathise with that feeling that music gives, which nothing else does.

Hey Jen,

I loved this post. Stay positive and you can do it. I've been 'an underdog' a lot of my life-- imagine moving to a new country and having to catch up with a 'language' you're supposed to know, but really can't write that well in. I was the 'worst' girl in my Arabic class when I first moved.

6 years later, on graduation night, I earned the 'Arabic award'- student who scored the best in Arabic class.

So yeah, you can do whatever you set your mind to. It doesn't matter how long it takes. As long as you believe in yourself, you'll get there..:)
