My daughter turned 18 years old today. She was 18 months old last week. How did this happen? Am I really old enough to have an 18-year-old daughter?

I understand your pain Jen. Mine are 23 and 27 now...thinking about how old they're getting means thinking about how old I'm getting!

And the older you get, the faster time flies. My son -- who was also 18 months' old last week -- is 38, and his sons, who also live with us, are 18 and 15. It's a wonderful blessing to see them grow up and to see the unique individuals they become.

They grow up fast! My "baby" turned 21 last summer. I kid the oldest about being "old" at 30. (which of course would make me ancient)

A belated Happy Birthday to your daughter!

Happy birthday to here! I have one soon turning 25 and another 13, but since the former was adopted 9 months before the latter, they seem closer together.
