Day 16: Blue Diamonds

It's Macro Monday

After watching the movie Blood Diamond, I vowed never to wear them again.  I reconsidered when I saw this set of stack rings on the Shop NBC website.

They're making progress in stemming the flow of conflict diamonds, right?

You know I vaguely remember reports on the victims of diamond mining. Now you have me curious enough to google! They're lovely so I can see why you want to wear. I'm very fond of amber but there's somewhat the same issue with the amber trade from eastern Europe.

Some diamonds are mined in Canada. Not all of them are mined in like that. Just make sure to know where your diamonds come from.

I have never seen or even heard of a blue diamond, but blood diamond industry , yes. I cannot even imagine what these would cost. They surely are pretty. Just hope the history behind them is not bad. genie

Lovely taste. I guess you need to know where they came from, but how can you be sure? Just wear them and enjoy--karma will take care of the rest!

Those are just gorgeous! Can't even be mad at you for being tempted with them.

I own no diamonds for just your reasoning. I do have a lovely collection of amethysts and tiger eyes and rubies....
