Regret

I know I made the right decision, but I see him online and I want to IM.  It's killing me that I can't call.  I'm pathetic.

This may seem an odd thing to say but hay-hoo off we go. You should eject or deep wash anything he came into contact with, and in a month or so's time when the grief for a lost dream has fully turned to anger. The old truism with over and under in it is a truism for a good reason.
Now forgive me, but I must go and knock something down or build something up as I feel testosterone bleeding awaaaaaaay, byeeee.

I thought these feeling go away when you grow up ... apparently not... does it make you feel any younger? :) At least that would be a plus in this situation ...

Love is closer to hate, than it is to indifference...

@Vince: I don't want to be angry in a month! I want to have forgotten him. Hitting something would make me feel better, though. It's times like this that I miss Muy Thai.

@Poppy: Only for those who have turned off all of their emotions, given up. I hope to never be one of those people.

@buffalodick: Very true.

I know your hurting, but keep strong and remember why you called it quits. He never called you back to say he would pick you.

Lord knows I have had plenty of them, but ultimately, regrets are for chumps. I am thinking you will not carry yours around very long.

What is this about, you "can't call him?" If it was me, I would call to get things over with cleanly. If he says something to the effect of, "Oh I was gonna call you," that would be your chance to say, "Well I called so you wouldn't have to. And buh-bye."

Or something like that...

I'd delete his name from your contacts so he doesn't show up... hang in there.

Jen said...

@Heather: No, he didn't, and there's really nothing else I need to know...

@Tallshag: But I'm not in junior high and that's kinda childish.

@sage: Maybe I'm hoping he's seeing me online and it's driving him insane...I'm maybe a little childish...

It's not pathetic. You're human.

Jen said...

@Unknown Mami: There are times when being human is very unpleasant.

Hang in there ..you are a strong woman!

Jen said...

@gayle: I'm tired of being strong. I want to curl up on the couch for awhile and whimper. But I can't. I have to study. I have to be a good role model for my daughter. I have to keep going.

Been there....recently. Time heals. Really and truly, it does.

Jen said...

@SandyCarlson: I know it does. It really sucks right now, though. I'm tired of being disappointed.

@Terrace Crawford: Most of us have, I know. It's not the first time for me and I'm sure it won't be the last. Thanks for visiting my blog.
