You Still Have to Read For a Math Phd

That is not me.  I've been using images from Flickr in my blog lately.

I spent the weekend watching the olympics and studying.  I've outlined two Biology chapters since I can't remember just by reading.  If I write, I remember a lot more.  I used to make crib notes in high school, but by the time I finished writing everything I didn't need them any more.

I haven't started my Spanish assignments yet.  I have to write an entire page (due tomorrow) in Spanish answering the questions:  Que estudias?  Cuantas clases tomas?  Cual es tu especialdad?  (What do you study?  How many classes do you take?  What is your major?)  There are supposed to be inverted question marks in front of each question and accents on each interrogative word, but I can't figure out how to add them with my English only keyboard.  I also have to give a 3 minute speech (Wednesday) in Spanish.  That's scary.  I'm going to be using some very elementary sentences in both my written paper and my speech.

I need a more comfortable place to study.  I'm cramping quite painfully from sitting on the couch with my legs crossed.  I've got a little table in my bedroom, but they say you should only sleep and have sex in there.  I don't know where I'd put it in the living room.  I guess it's time to rearrange the furniture...

Buena suerte en tu clase de Español. Estudia mucho y te ira bien.

Get yourself some yellow paper A4. run off a page, than see if the type sits down into the page or comes up to meet you. This will dictate where you put the reading position in your room, in relation to the window.
For instance I could not read a thing in a bright room, it would give me a headache after 30min.

Of course I knew the girl in the pic wasn't you, but dang if she doesn't have your complexion.

Sex on the little table in your bedroom??

No wait, that would be fodder for your other blog...nevermind.

I don't have the studying right now, but I spent last week's sick days huddled over an ottoman while sitting on my couch, reviewing all the checks work wrote last year so I could appease our accountant.

Ick.

Good luck with your assignments! I had a big algebra test, I failed it, but not as bad as the first time around. I went from a 9 (Seriously) to a 59!

I went trough some interesting training once, and found there were sight memory, do memory, hear memory people...I have to read it to remember it well.. Our teaching techiques need to realize this!

That Shawn chap, you have to worry a bit. Given the amount of photographs of his GF, he either has a fetish of taking photos of her or she has one for being photographed.

@Unknown Mami: Muchas gracias!

@Vince: My patio is pretty shaded. I think the spot by the window lets in just enough natural light to make it perfect for reading. That yellow paper test is interesting. I'll try it.

@Tallshag: That blog is dead. It will not be resurrected. There are too many men that can't believe a somewhat attractive woman could possibly have a brain, or they see my pictures and they don't care if I have a brain. You need a filter. Don't make me regret telling you about this blog.

@Amanda: My back hurts just thinking about hunching over that ottoman.

@Christiejolu: That's a huge improvement! Congratulations!

@UberGrumpy: I got all excited...opened Word...remembered I don't have a numeric keypad on my laptop. Tried the numbers on the regular keyboard and it didn't work. Any more ideas?

@buffalodick: I think I'm a do memory person. It is true...just because something works for me doesn't mean it will work for you...I wish all teachers (and parents) realized this.

@Vince: Sounds like they might be perfect for each other. We should worry when he starts photographing other women.

@gayle: Thanks! So far so good.

Good luck with your homework.

That pic...OMG, that girl needs to clean house! I wouldn't be able to get anything done till that was cleaned up!

@Heather: She's too busy studying. She'll get to it later...
