Back to School

Today was my second day of school.  The first day was awful.  I was not expecting to have so much trouble parking and was late to class.  Then, my asthma started acting up and I couldn't stop coughing and couldn't speak to tell anyone what was going on.  I grabbed my inhaler, stepped into the hall, and didn't return until I was better.  I guess they figured it out once they saw the inhaler.

Today was better.  Biology was always one of my favorite subjects in high school and it appears it might be one of my favorite classes now.  It was fun getting reaquainted with the slides and microscopes.  We were given the option of working alone or with a partner.  The woman sitting next to me and I decided to work together.  Her strengths were my weaknesses and my strengths were her weaknesses.  That makes a great partnership because we both benefit.

You have me waxing nostalgic for the back-to-school feeling, and I bet the microscopes are waaay better than they were the first time around.

Did you get a talking-to about being late?

I'm taking a class on a Tuesday night. Not a success so far. My latest post explains more...

Happy New Year - if I haven't wished it to you already. And if I have, I'll wish it to you again.

Sounds like fun--I miss school (but 20+ years should be enough for anyone).

School, is a bit of a movable feast in the States. So I really do not have any clue what your statement means fully.
But anyhow, best wishes on the endeavour.

If you have to have a pardner, always pick one that does what you don't do well! Mutual respect is a wonderful thing...

Sounds like you are having fun, but sorry about the asthmatic attack, that isn't fun. My partner has asthma, so I know all about it.

@Tallshag: I guess even in college they let you slide the first day.

@Kate: I'm enjoying being back in school so far. I hope things get better for you.

@sage: 20+ years? Are we counting Kindergarten?

@Christiejolu: Congratulations! What is your major? Start networking now...

@Vince: I don't have a clue what your comment means, either...a movable feast? I don't get it.

@buffalodick: Sometimes it's good to have a partner...but only if there's mutual respect...that's true...without it I'd rather be alone.

@LL Cool Joe: It just annoys me...it sometimes scares people around me.

Like Easter, you are never sure what day it will fall upon from one year to the next. Certain terms in the USA fit to this also and School is one of them.

Sounds like you are off to a good start after that first day!

@gayle: I think so. I'm getting a few things done early so I can still take the weekend trips I have planned.
