Now that it's all said and done, I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down like an old abandoned house

Every once in a while, I can't resist the temptation of checking out Wyoming's status updates on My Space.
His latest posts were "it's not over" and "I'm waiting for the right moment", both with angry emoticons. Whoa...
I still miss the person I thought he was, but am realizing more and more with each passing day that he is not the kind of man I would want to be with. I'm starting to believe maybe I dodged a bullet.

I don't think there's any doubt you did.
Theres good and bad in everyone (of course) When we look/hope for love we only look at the good things we see in a person...after it's all over we look toward the bad things that we see and were there the whole time..but we chose to ignore. I'm not having a go at you Jen ..rather I'm having a go at me!..and the things I chose to ignore in some of the people I have known. Aint it easy to look back and see that you did indeed dodge a bullet..I really wish it were that easy in fore thought.
Ya think. I'd say it was more like ruddy great howitzer shell you dodged.
I'd say he was a dangerously controling scumbag that hes been on that trip for 20 or more years. For it takes a long time to perfect that nasty drip feed of acid such designed to sap any belief you had in yourself.
At first I didn't believe you. But the longer you wrote about him, I realised you were unlikely to be able to write where you could bring off that slow tightening of a noose.
Look If a new man you find -or a woman for that matter- doesn't think you are the very best thing since sliced bread for the first year or two. There is something wrong. And everyone needs to put a checklist of professions that you are not. Like you are not a divorce lawyer, a doctor or a a psychiatrist.
been there. It's hard but remember to be strong for you. God Bless
But that's how they are at first, Vince. They are such charmers...telling you how amazing you are...
I didn't see it until he made a comment about the way I was dressed...and looked through the clothes I'd hung in the closet...and made fun of me getting excited over an Avon sale...even then I didn't want to believe it...
You're better off without him.
What kind of guy goes through a woman's closet?
I dont know the back story on this of course being new to your blog but a man trying to say what you should wear is always trouble. What real man cares? If you think you dodged a bullet, you most likely did.
It's tough, I know, but you did the right thing. Doesn't stop it being hard though.
You're a lot better off without him... I published a post on hiking the Grand Canyon. I've not done rim-to-rim, just trips on the north side of the Colorado.
No, we absolutely are not all like him. There are a lot of reasonably sane sound men out there that don't think you need training/breaking like some animal in order that he can feel secure in himself. Nor are men the only ones guilty of this attitude.
