My current obsession is the birding and wildlife trails of Texas. I'm trying to visit them all. There are 9 of them, some with over 100 sites. This may take a while...

Searching for More Baskets
Since July, Wyoming has gone from:
- I'm putting all my eggs in one basket. I want to see where this goes.
To:
- You should be going on dates. We're not a couple.
- Nothing can happen right now. Maybe in a year things might be different.
- I'm not too interested any more.
- You can come be a roommate, but you have to come as a friend. We're not in a relationship.
And now:
-Come for a visit and let's see how things go. Maybe we'll get along great and decide we're going to be a couple.
He's giving me whiplash.
I am getting excited about my trip to Hawaii, but I'm in I'll-believe-it-when-it-happens mode when it comes to any kind of relationship with Wyoming. I'm not even going to wait for him to confirm the dates before I book my trip. I do hope I get to see him. I may even spend a couple of hours sobbing if I don't. I will get over it, though. I'm still scared to go it alone, but doing it anyway. Better to rely on myself than someone who may or may not come through for me.
I'll sign up with temp agencies while I'm there and start scoping out alternative plans for housing. Craig's List is full of people searching for roommates.

Maybe you should seek out some bloggers in Hawaii to learn more--look at Winds of Change http://phhhst.blogspot.com/ She does the Travel Tip Thursday, a writing prompt that is made for you.
That's a great idea Sage has.........there has to be many bloggers in Hawaii!!
ah good hit sage...she would probably be a great help...
Yep, phhhst is the person I would go to.
As far as "Mr. I can't commit to anything", I say forget about trying to get anything from that and just start thinking of him as just a friend.
In the time I've been following you (metaphorically speaking)I've seen you as a strong, independent woman capable of doing whatever you need/want to do Jen.
This guy worries me more and more, he seems to be showing commitment phobia and even if it starts to work out...how long before he changes his mind again?
Careful of Craigs List eh!
This is all so scary!
Exactly, Tempo. I don't like being dependent on anyone, especially someone that I'm afraid will change his mind. That's the biggest complaint I get from men, though: "You're too damned independent." That and "You don't trust anyone." I thought a different approach of trusting until they proved they couldn't be trusted might yield different results...not so far.
Great advice here in the comments! I think you should go and not count on Wyoming for anything but maybe a temp room until you get things sorted out there. I am so jealous! I would love to live in hawaii!
Well I have two bloggers from Hawaii who may be able to give you some advice on where to find good cheap places to live.
One is Quilly's pacific paradise and one is tom who drives a bus in Hawaii. You can find him on Quilly's blog cause they do memes.
You can find quilly on the right hand yellow portion of my blog.
Good Luck:)
Ugh...I have two words for you: High. Maintenance.
Pardon me for my opinionated opinion, but, ditch this guy. I don't care how good looking he is, how filthy rich, good in the sack, or clever, he seems to enjoy game playing a little too much to be anyone of any real substance.
Seriously, you're better than this.
Hi Jen,
sending lots of positive vibes your way. in answer to your comment on my blog, Necessary Room, we are celebrating World Kindness Day on November 13, 2010 by doing a random act of kindness.
one love.
