The Woodlands Waterway connects the hotel/convention center to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Take a free trolley...
...spend a few dollars on the water taxi...
...or take a stroll. This a popular spot for joggers, walkers, and ducks.
I found two more geocaches today. I walked the half mile from my home to the waterway and found these. When they said small, they meant it.
The tiny canister opens to reveal the miniature log.
There's only room for initials and no place to leave a calling card. For the location of these and over a million more geocaches hidden worldwide, visit http://www.geocaching.com/.

Wow! I had no idea about geocaching, now I looked it up and found out there are geocaching in my town. I wonder if I can find one... hmmm...
Nice pictures you have here!
I bought a GPS on eBay yester..cant wait to have a go..it sounds like something I will really enjoy. Especially setting up my own geocaches
loved it,
very open spaced and beautiful!
your post rocks!
yep, getting excited...need to find me a gps...
Nice looking area, congratulations on your finds
sounds like you live in a nice city; I think it would be fun to explore it, looks like there is lots to offer there indeed :)
how fun you found two more geocaches! I bet it was hard to write your initials on that very tiny scroll, I'll have to do some research about this, it sounds like it would be a fun hobby for hubby and me
enjoy the day

I had heard about geocaching but I thought it was a rough-and-tumble event with mountains and getting blisters and all that. You make it sound like lots of fun!
Amazing that you managed to find that itty bitty treasure! You are having a blast with this!
Thank you for the wonderful photos!
I think I would be a bit P.O.ed if the item was as microscopic as that little thing. There really is only so much time a body could spend hunting about in a city before someone calls the men with the wrap-round coat. But damn well done for finding that fiddley little thing.
A beautiful place and a mystery too! How fun.
@Minka: They're everywhere! You just need a geocaching GPS or a GPS enabled cell phone that supports geocaching apps.
@Tempo: I think anyone can set one up, they just have to keep them within certain published guidelines and be willing to maintain them. Good luck and be sure to post what you find.
@Jingle and sage: Thanks. The Waterway is a beautiful spot.
@Brian Miller: Do you have an iPhone? There is a geocaching app you can download to try it out before you invest in a GPS.
@That corgi: If you're an outdoor person, The Woodlands is a fantastic area. The museums and sports arenas, etc of Houston are not too far away, either.
@Ms Sparrow: Some are very difficult to get to and some are literally a walk in the park. The difficulty of finding the cache and difficulty of the terrain are noted in the description of each cache.
@blueviolet: I am having a blast. I may be becoming obsessed, but at least it gets me outside and exercises more than just my thumbs.
@Vince: I knew it was going to be small, but I wasn't expecting something that tiny. You are given a size description of the cache in the listing.
@Ronda Laveen: It was fun! I can't wait to go find some more.
Wow, what a tiny little container! It's really cute!
Keep up these posts and I'll want to take up geocaching, too. It's sounding more and more fun.
@Kelly: You're safe for today since I didn't do any geocaching.
Hmm thats cute :)
Wow that was tiny. HOw fun. I have heard so much about it...but haven't done geocaching yet. Hope to eventually.
I LOVE that you are having so much fun with this--and ESPECIALLY thanks for sharing the JOY!

Love the WAterway.
Wow that was a small catch. Something different though, I have to admit that.
Take care and keep looking.
